A religion that relies on right theology alone, without surrender to the Word that is Jesus, produces contempt for the truth.
Confident Christian leaders run the risk of becoming self-assured in their knowledge of the truth. The value of knowing spiritual truth is not found in one's ability to win arguments and motivate people to action--its value is in the transformation of character from selfishness to selflessness.
